WW2 ISSUED GURKHA KUKRI DATED 1941
HISTORY
During World War II, Gurkha soldiers, renowned for their bravery and fighting prowess, played a significant role in the British and Indian armies. Over 250,000 Gurkhas served in various campaigns, including North Africa, the Middle East, Italy, Greece, and Southeast Asia. They sustained heavy casualties, with over 30,000 casualties, including nearly 9,000 fatalities.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
This WW2 issued Gurkha Kukri is in excellent condition. Blade is issue date 1941 and comes in its original scabbard that still has the two utility knives present and also the belt loops. Whilst normally Kukri's are not rare they are mostly the decorative and tourist types that are offered for sale, a genuine issued WW2 is highly desirable and rare.
