    WW2 BURMA CAMPAIGN CHINDIT REGIMENT DAH-TYPE MACHETE AND SCABBARD

    A genuine British issue WW2 Chindit Regiment machete as used by the Armed Commonwealth Forces and the Chindit Regiment against the Japanese during the Burma Campaign.

    Based on the famous machette used by the Kachin Daos of upper Burma and actually looking quite like them in blade shape. This machete is basic and made from a high carbon steel blade with hardwood handle and steel pins.

    The blades are V ground at the cutting edge and are marked to one side of the blade which this one is. This machette comes with its original marked leather quick release scabbard, both the machete and scabbard are dated 1945. The leather retaining strap is broken as shown in the images. These machete's are not common and rarely come together with their original scabbard.


    THE BLADES ARE V GROUND AT THE CUTTING EDGE AND ARE MARKED ON ONE SIDE USUALLY WHICH THIS ONE IS, THERE IS ALSO A SMALLER MARK ON THE TOP SPINE
