WW2 SIGNED JAPANESE FLAG WITH PROVENANCE

This WW2 Silk Japanese flag was presented to a Mr Ono Ann and is what is known as a "going to war flag", they are given to soldiers when they go to war and are generally signed by family members and people of importance who know them. this example is signed by Japanese Navy Rear Admiral Mizuno Eiichi who was the Chief Engineer aboard the Japanese aircraft carrier Akagi which incidentally took part in the bombing of Pearl Harbour and whose planes bombed Darwin.

The flag has a couple of small moth nips which is normal and presents well. Correct corner ties.
