WW2 USMC V44 COLLINS BOWIE KNIFE/MACHETE
Whilst WW2 V44 knives are not rare, the V44 issued to the USMC Marine Raiders units are. The USMC Marine Raider units V44s had Green horn handles and 5 brass rivets hold the handles in place unlike the normal V44 that had 3 rivets, all were no 18 blade and number 13 scabbards.
The knife offered is a USMC Marine Raider knife made by Collins. The blade is maker marked to Collins and is correct;y marked number 18. The cross guard is Brass. Correct 5 brass rivets to secure the Green horn handles. The leather scabbard is correctly marked 13 and is showing signs of use. Loop attachment for the belt.
