This Australian WW2 Fighting Knife was made by the Sydney knife maker Whitingslowe and bears the WE trade mark to the blade which has been sharpened and shows use. It comes with its original scabbard that has had a period replacement of one rivet and the top stud keeper is missing however this does not detract from its appearance as scabbards are hard to come by. It bears a Broad Arrow stamp to the cross guard showing issue to the Australian Army. This knife was not generally issued to the regular soldiers but was issued to Commandos and Z forces during WW2. These knives are becoming rarer to find.
