WW1 GERMAN PICKELHAUBE/SPIKE HELMET
Classical WW1 German Spike Helmet otherwise known as the Pickelhaube. Early model with the brass fittings (as later models came out with Grey painted metal fittings). Chinstrap and cockades still present.
The front eagle plate has been replaced at some time as there are a couple of extra mounting holes present, this does not detract and is hardly noticeable. Small dent in the rear brass spine. Original liner still present. Like all militaria the price of original WW1 German is steadily rising and this helmet represents good value.
