WW1 303 RIFLE BUTT LITHGOW 1915 5MD ISSUE.-SOLD
This rifle butt form a 303 rifle is clearly marked with the Lithgow issue stamp and dated 1915. Other stamps are issue stamps to the 5th Military District (5MD) which was Western Australia. The butt plate is made from brass and has the compartment for the oil bottle with a hinged lid. A niece Australian WW1 decorator piece.
