WHALING GUN HARPOON HEAD
This item was picked up locally here in Western Australia and more than likely came from the Whaling Station at Albany which closed down in the 1970,s.
It is made of cast iron and weighs 10 Kilogrammes. It has an internal thread to screw the head onto the longer harpoon shaft.
It measures 360mm long and is 120mm wide at the base.
