ROYAL NAVAL COCKED BICORN FORE AND AFT HAT WITH GILT METAL KNOT AND, BULLION EPAULETTES IN JAPANNED TIN CASE.
This is an outstanding RN Fore and Aft Hat with bullion epaulettes set contained in its original japanned tin by the famous outfitters GIEVES, this set came from the Portsmouth shop. The hat is in excellent condition, the tin is fitted out and in good condition with the exception of of one of the hinges that needs re-soldering. Named to D.G. Hallwright Royal Navy, I have not done any research on the name. All buttons have the Kings Crown so this set ois either WW1 or WW2.
