RARE WW2 AUSTRALIAN GREGSTEEL SEE THROUGH HANDLE FIGHTING KNIFE
Collectors refer to this fighting knife as the "see through handle" variation. The knives are sterile. The blades were made by Gregsteel with the handles cast by Keech Casings leaving the Tang exposed. The knives came in three different sizes with the largest having a 9 1/2 inch blade length, the next is a 6 3/4 inch long blade and the smallest having a 6 inch blade.
This fighting knife is the longest variety with a 9 1/2 inch blade. Handle is alloy. Scabbard is in good condition showing normal use. This is the first example of this knife that I have ever come across and within the collectors world it is considered rare.
