PATTERN 1907 ISHAPORE BAYONET with FALSE EDGE.
India Bayonet No 1 Mk1** with false edge. As in Australia and Britain, India also adopted a modification for the sharpening of some No 1 bayonets. This example is textbook to description on page 347 of the book British and Commonwealth Bayonets by Skennerton and Richardson. It has a nice blued blade and comes in its original scabbard that shows signs of pittings, nice wood grips. Whilst Indian bayonets were common years ago they have now become collectors items for the Pattern 07 bayonet collector. They are still a good buy but as they years progress they are sure to rise in price.
