JAPANESE TANTO CIRCA 1500
I have had this Tanto inspected by my Japanese sword expert who has described the Tanto as the blade probably made around the Sengoku period 1467 to 1574 with the fittings from around the EDO period of 1700. Black lacquered scabbard with excellent fittings. Unpolished blade with some spotting and showing a metal blister. Unsigned tang.
Nice looking Tanto with an old blade which presents well and is also priced well.
