IMPERIAL GERMAN M1898 SAWBACK BAYONET SECOND PATTERN
M1898 Seitengewehr (S 98 nA S) 2nd Pattern Sawback bayonet with two piece grip. Manufactured by C.G. HAENEL, SUHL. Cypher is King Friedrick August III of Saxony manufacture/acceptance date 1914. Has the WW1 Ersatz all steel scabbard that closely resembles the Type 2 of 1915. Bayonet is regimentally marked " 11. 245. 1." Both bayonet and scabbard in excellent condition.
