1889 JAPANESE TYPE 32 CAVALRY SWORD.
This sword is the best example of a type 32 Cavalry sword I have come across in a long time. Sword and scabbard have matching numbers. Arsenal marks to the underside of the guard bowl. The guard retains 90% of its original bluing, the scabbard retains about 75%. Nice clean bright blade. Nice chequered wood handle. Scabbard lock catch is fully functional. This sword was mainly used in the Russo/Japanese war and examples have also been used in WW2.
