    AUSTRALIAN WW2 AFRICA AND PACIFIC STAR GROUP OF 6 TO A WESTERN AUSTRALIAN OFFICER.

    Nice group of 6 WW2 Australian medals all correctly named and impressed to WX3833 H.F. Moore. Group consists of the 1935, Africa and Pacific stars, The Defence, British War and Australian Service Medals. An initial search has revealed that Hugh Finn Moore was from Northam WA and enlisted on the 1st of June 1940, he served in the Middle East from the 3rd of January 1941 to 17th of March 1942, the Borneo from the 16th May 1945 to 31st of January 1946. Moore was appointed Lieutenant on the 31st December 1942. His posting at discharge was 2/7 Aust Supply Depot on the 15th January 1946. His file is digitised on the National Archives of Australia website. These medals need more research.
