WW2 GERMAN MOUNTAIN TROOPS (GEBIRGSJAGER) RUCKSACK COMBAT USED, DATED 1942
This Gebirgsjager rucksack has seen plenty of combat use. It has many tears that have been period professionally repaired showing how its owner just wanted to keep it alive or couldnt get a replacement. The owners name (AMON) is scratched into the leather shoulder strap plate along with the makers initials and dated 1942. The leather shoulder straps are still on the rucksack and are fully operational. There is one leather closure tab that is broken (see images) however could be repaired. Of all the rucksacks the German s used during WW2 the Gebirgsjager rucksack is the most desirable. If you are looking for a salty example that has "been there" this is the one for you.
