WW1 BRITISH-AUSTRALIAN FOLDING CANDLE TRENCH LAMP CONTAINER BY OLDFIELD
Unusual and rarely seen metal trench lamp container for the folding candle trench lamp. Maker marked to J and R OLDFIELD BIRMINGHAM and dated 1916, Oldfield was maker of oil lamps and made these folding trench candle lamps under contract during WW1. Leather strap still present. 325mm high x 150mm wide and 45mm deep. Great bit of kit for the WW1 collector.
