RARE WW2 GERMAN FOUR POCKET LEATHER MP41 AMMO POUCH.
WW11 MP/41 Four pocket leather ammo pouch. Made from high quality thick dark Brown leather. As opposed to the more common MP38/40 magazine pouch which has 3 pockets for magazines, the MP/41 has four pockets for magazines. the original shoulder strap is still there and in good condition.The back is stamped GXY and date stamped 1940 and has two waffenampt stamps. WW2 German MP/41 magazine pouches are rare highly sought after variants of the standard MP38/40 ammo pouches. Issued primarily to SS and specialized troops including paratroopers, these pouches were typically made from canvas and leather (or all-leather) and featured an asymmetrical 4-cell configuration capable of holding 32-round 9mm magazines.
MP/41 pouches when encountered are normally made from canvas but to find one in leather is very difficult and is a rare offering.
