WW2 AUSTRALIAN 303 BAYONET
This 303 bayonet was purchased locally here in WA and came from an WW2 veterans estate sale. Scabbard is in good condition but showing signs of field use, the scabbard is stamped with "MANGROVITE 43". Blade is date stamped for 2 month of 1945 and the makers atmp of 'OA" for the Lithgow factory at Orange in NSW.
Whilst this bayonet is not in mint condition it does tell a story of the War in the Pacific and PNG.
