WW1 GERMAN CRANK HANDLED DEMAG TRENCH KNIFE.
This knife was designed as a bayonet to fit onto the German soldiers rifle and also as a trench/fighting knife. They are rare to find. This example comes complete with its scabbard. Blade is good but showing the usual signs of combat use. Blade maker marked to Demag Duisburg within a circle to one side of the blade with GESETZLICH GESHUTZ (LEGALLY PROTECTED) to the other side. Handle still retains traces of its original green colour. This has seen combat use. Whilst these trench knives are legal to own they are a banned import into Australia as they have a double edged blade .
