    ITEM DESCRIPTION

Paul Seilheimer is noted as being one of the best edged weapons makers of his time and this example typifies his quality. First World War pattern Artillery Sword displaying his original trade mark stamped to the upper blade. As he started production in 1917 this makes this sword a very late WW1 issue that was carried over into the Weimar period before Adolf Hitler gained control of Germany. The sword very little use and retains its finish to all the fittings with a bright blade. The Black scabbard shows some use as seen in the images but this is normal and does not detract from its appearance. No cracks in the Black celluloid handle and only one loose wire on the wire wrap as shown in the images.

This is a nice sword made by a quality maker.
