WW2 BRITISH/COMMONWEALTH ARMY TOMMY HELMET HESSIAN HELMET COVER IN GREEN
WW2 issued British/Commonwealth Army original army issue Hessian helmet cover in Green colour for Europe and Jungle theatres of war. Official government factory produced.
These are recently purchased Ex-New Zealand Army stores and once they have been sold will no longer be available.
Made from Green coloured Hessian with foliage loops, this cover is for a MK2 British helmet, which have been held in a museum since the end of the war for display purposes, until recently re-classified as surplus. These particular covers were the only known regulation type hessian covers to be produced and were used mainly by British and New Zealand troops in Europe and the Jungle theatres of war such as New Guinea.
