Whilst WW1 era British Army side caps are not a rarity this one is exceptional. Virtually unused this private purchased side cap would have been purchased by an officer. Bearing the General List cap badge and buttons and made from fine quality wool cloth. The interior can only be described as top quality with a Brown felt sweat band with almost silk like material for the rest of the lining, this all topped of with the makers label of LINCOLN BENNETT & Co Burlington Gardens Old Bond Street London who at the time had a Royal Warrant.
