WW1 IMPERIAL GERMAN STATE OF SAXONY PICKELHAUBE OR SPIKE HELMET.
Nice untouched original helmet. Front plate is the German State of Saxony finely detailed brass star and silver Saxon center device, I have not polished any of the fittings on this helmet as I like them as they came in. Front plate held to helmet body with leather wedges inside helmet. The trim including base/spike are custom purchase quality. Brass brads at base of helmet. Spike top is not removable. Original leather chinstrap on M91 side lugs. Saxony and Reichs EM cockades. The liner is present and its showing use and wear it still is good for its age. This helmet is 100% original and untouched. Great WWI era Saxony EM/NCO helmet difficult to upgrade.

WW1 German spike helmets are rising in price especially the European and US markets as they become harder to find. With the advent of the Nazi symbol ban in Australia spike helmets will become more desirable here in the future, already in Europe this helmet would fetch well over $2000.
