    HISTORY

    In May 1915, the German Army began joining the Jäger battalions to form Jäger regiments, and in late 1917, the Deutsche Jäger-Division was formed. During the early stages of World War I, the German Jäger maintained their traditional role as skirmishers and scouts normally with Infantry units but often in conjunction with cavalry units.

    ITEM DESCRIPTION

    Nice original M1915 Imperial German infantry Jaeger Tshako. Brass front plate (Wappen) showing the Imperial eagle which was standard for all Infantry units. complete with chinstrap and side and front cockades. Liner in good condition for its age.

    These Tshako's are much harder to find than the traditional pickelhaube's of the era especially when complete as this one is.
