    HISTORY

The SA-Wehrmannschaften (SA Military Defense Training Groups) were a specialized, paramilitary militia training organization within Nazi Germany, created on January 19, 1939, to provide military-style training to men not currently serving in the regular Wehrmacht armed forces. As the war turned against Germany, SA-Wehrmannschaften members became a crucial part of the "last warriors" in the final stages of the conflict, with many later being integrated into the Volkssturm (people's storm) militia.
