WW2 GERMAN NSKK OFFICERS SIDE CAP
Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps (NSKK) or the National Socialist Motor Corps. This organization was formed in 1931 and was originally part of the SA, however in 1934 they were made a separate organization under the NSDAP. The NSKK was mainly a training organization, which instructed members on maintenance and operations of motorized vehicles. When the war started in 1939, this organization was used as a transportation service for military units, some units worked for Org. Todt and the Luftwaffe as well.
This side cap is quite rare as officers caps are hardly seen on the market. The NSKK badge has a yellow background which denotes its area of origin, research has found that the yellow background denotes "Gruppe Schleisen" or "Brigade Franken". Correct in every detail. The cotton fabric lined interior still has the issue tag. There is one minor moth nip that is hardly noticeable.
