WW2 GERMAN K98 BAYONET SS ENGRAVED.b
There is a lot of speculation on these engraved bayonets, I have been told that they are remembrance bayonets produced after WW2 for soldiers and also that they were made for collectors. Whichever is true they have become collectable in their own right and are works of art simply, as a wartime issued bayonet they are worth around $350 without the decorative engraving.
This example is acid etched engraved to the '16 SS PANZERGRENADIER DIVISION REICHSFUHRER SS'. Bakelite handle bayonet with scabbard and frog the frog is in bad condition as shown in the images.
