    The Weimar period was the era in Germany between the first and second world war. It was a time of chaos politically and socially within Germany which suffered the great depression and ultra high inflation causing civil unrest and also saw the rise of the communist party in Germany. The Weimar period gave Adolf Hitler the circumstances and opportunity to seize power. When Hitler seized power the Weimar period turned into the Third Reich.

    This Helmet or Shako is in very good condition for its age. Black Patent Leather body denoting City Police, Twin vents each side. Berlin City Police front plate, also stamped Berlin Police to the inside of the liner. The chinstrap is a modern replacement. This helmet presents really well. The cockade is stamped DRGM to the rear.
