WW2 GERMAN POLICE PARADE BAYONET
Exceptionally nice WW2 German Police Parade Bayonet. The handle has the decorated Eagles Head pommel with bone grips, decorated cross guard and Police emblem to the grips. This is the un-slotted version. The nickel plate finish to all fittings are in good condition. The blade is bright and rates very good. Makers Logo for WKC stamped on one side of the blade with the makers name of Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co (WKC) stamped to the other side. The number 815 stamped to the back spine of the blade. Stamped to the top scabbard fitting is S.OP.V.328 which is the abbreviation for SchutzPolizei-Oppeln Prussian Weapon 328. (Oppeln now forms part of the Polish reclaimed territories), the scabbard black leather is in good condition with tight stitching.
This is a nice example of a Police Parade bayonet which are becoming rarer and highly desirable.
