WW2 AUSTRALIAN TRENCH ART ASHTRAY SUBMARINE. This trench art ashtray is made in the shape of Australia with a submarine mounted to the top. The ashtray bowl is extensively engraved with a Kangaroo and the name of sea ports around Australia, the engraving is of a high standard. On top of the submarine is engraved Australia and South Pacific. This ashtray is a quality piece and would have adorned a Submarine Captains desk. The metal is plated brass which shows signs of wear on the bowl showing the brass.
