WW1 IMPERIAL GERMAN EAST FRISIAN FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT NO 62 OFFICERS SWORD WITH BLUED AND ETCHED PANELS.

This Imperial German Fiels Artillery Officers sword is a presentation sword from East Frisisan Field Artillery Regiment No 62, being a dove head sword with plated grip, wire binding to the grip and plain langet. Housed in its black steel scabbard in excellent condition. Slightly curved blade etched with blued panels to both sides, one side with trophy of arms and “Ostfries. Feldart. Regt. No 62”, reverse side with foliage and scene of a horse drawn artillery gun team and gun crew in position. There is slight plating loss to the  handle guard commensurate with its age. No cracks to the handle which still retains its wire wrap. No damage to the bluing on the etched panels. No maker markings to blade (common).

These Imperial issued blued panel presentation swords are getting harder to find especially in this condition.
