Recently purchased from a renowned local collector and offered for sale is this Shinto Period (1600-1700) Japanese Wakizashi sword. Lacquered scabbard is in excellent condition. Blade has been re-polished in Japan at a cost of over $1000 excellent Hamon running full blade length. Tang is signed SEKI JU KANE MOTO in grass writing and has two locating holes. The sword has quality fittings including the Menuki and end cap which depicts a Diaruma (Monk). Handle was re-wrapped when the blade was polished in Japan. This is an excellent opportunity to own a quality Japanese sword at a price that wont break the bank.
