EARLY 19TH CENTURY JAPANESE WAKIZASHI
Japanese Wakizashi. 21 1/4 inch blade with a couple of minor marks near the point. Inscribed with Yamashiro Kami Yasunori Saku and also the date 'Tenpo Ni Nen Ni Gatsu Hi' ( a date in February 1831) ??????. Visible Hamon line. Pierced Iron Tsuba with scalloped edging and traces of Gold finish. Copper Fuchi embossed with Gold flowers. Hilt bound with Green cotton binding with same grip. Complete with its Black lacquered scabbard.
