BOER WAR OR WW1 AUSTRALIAN TRENCH PERISCOPE. Not quite sure if this trench periscope is a Boer War period or WW1 period. Measuring 32cm closed and 46cm open. Made of brass with original blackened finish. All mirrors are good. Mesh eyepiece door covers the bottom aperture to stop any schrapnel or glass flying into the eye, the retaining hook for the mesh door is missing.
