19th CENTURY BOWIE KNIFE BY YOUNG OF EDINBURGH
This is an excellent Bowie knife dated to around 1873. Blade length of 150mm and 260mm overall length, Maker marked YOUNG QUEENS CUTLER EDIN R (Edinburgh) to the Ricasso and 'HUNTERS COMPANION' to the back of the blade. Perfect checkered handle with a S shaped cross guard. Blade is bright. Comes with its original scabbard which is missing some black shellac finish to the leather and missing stitching but still in supple and good condition. Ehgraved F Raine 1873 to the top fitting. Nice collectable knife.
