PRESENTATION PIECE MAJOR A.W.L. ELLIS MC FORMER CO 4 SQUADRON AUSTRALIAN FLYING CORPS.
This presentation piece was presented to Major Alfred William Ellis MC (Military Cross) who was a former Commanding Officer of 4 Squadron Australian Flying Corps (AFC) during WW1. It is in the shape of a tin hat on a bakelite stand and was presented to him in 1933. The hat appears to be made of Silver but I cannot find any hallmarks.
